AOXING GLASS

The difference between insulating glass and vacuum glass

1. In contrast, vacuum glass is more excellent than insulating glass. Vacuum glass has extraordinary thermal insulation performance. Using it as a window glass makes the room warm quickly in winter, and the indoor heating is not easy to lose, reducing the cost of heating and air conditioning, and saving energy. Air conditioners are used indoors in summer, and air-conditioning is not easy to escape. The sound insulation performance is good, preventing the interference of noise and creating a quiet environment. In addition, in winter, even if the outdoor temperature is very low, it is difficult to condense the indoor side of the window glass, which ensures a clear view and does not require frequent cleaning of the dew glass.

2. Another feature of vacuum glass is that it is much thinner than insulating glass, which can save installation space and window frame materials. At the same time, due to the good thermal insulation performance, its anti-condensation and fogging performance is also very good, which can avoid the annoying things such as invisible exterior and dew soaked window sill caused by condensation on the window. In winter, it can reduce the feeling of chilling in front of the window and the feeling of "surface wind" underfoot.

3. The wind-resistant strength of vacuum glass is about twice that of hollow glass made of the same glass, but the impact strength is not as good as that of hollow glass. This weakness can be solved by combining vacuum glass. For example, where needed, laminated glass technology can be used to add tempered glass to one or both sides of the vacuum glass to form a safety vacuum glass with high impact strength and wind pressure resistance. Undoubtedly, the cost will increase accordingly.

4. As for the price problem, the price of ordinary insulating glass is 100-200 yuan/square meter, and the quality is uneven. As everyone in the industry knows, the production process of vacuum glass is more complicated than insulating glass, the raw materials are more expensive, and the current production scale is smaller, so the price of vacuum glass is more expensive than insulating glass. Vacuum glass is composed of two layers or three or four layers of glass, each of which is different, generally ranging from 300-800 yuan/square meter.
